Downloading Gift Receipts for Donors

Donors may miss their receipt email due to spam filters, typos, or other issues. You can download a PDF copy of the gift receipt from the gift record and share it with the donor, whether for tax purposes or corporate matching.

When and why to use this

• A donor requests a copy of their receipt for tax or matching purposes

• You need to verify the exact details of a donor’s receipt

• You require a clean PDF for a follow‑up email or for uploading to a matching portal

How to download a donor's receipt (PDF)

1. Navigate to the specific gift record by going to Online Giving > Manage Gifts > and clicking the Donation ID of the gift

2. Expand the "Gift Notifications" section.

3. Click the "Download PDF" option that appears with the gift receipt email.

4. Save the PDF file.

Tips and troubleshooting

• If you don't see the "Gift Notifications" panel, it may be collapsed by default; simply expand it.

• For matching gift documentation, the downloaded PDF includes all the receipt details typically requested.
