Apple Pay Receipt Display Issues (Wrong Merchant Name)

Check the transaction first

If Apple Wallet shows an unexpected merchant name, compare the transaction date and amount with the GiveCampus gift record and email receipt. An unexpected Wallet label alone does not establish that the gift was credited incorrectly—or identify the cause.

Check whether the problem appears only in Apple Wallet or also on the donor’s bank statement or receipt. Wallet merchant information and payment-processor merchant configuration may need different follow-up.

Report incorrect Wallet information

1. Open Apple Wallet.
2. Select the card used for the donation.
3. Open the transaction.
4. If available, choose Report Incorrect Merchant Info and follow Apple’s prompts.

Ask for a configuration review

If the name is also incorrect outside Wallet, or the issue persists, contact GiveCampus Support with the gift ID, transaction date and amount, and a screenshot showing where the name appears. Support can help determine whether payment-processor configuration needs review.

Only reassure the donor that the gift reached the intended destination after checking the gift record and receipt.
