Campaign Page Section Visibility and Management
GiveCampus offers flexible controls to customize which sections appear on your campaign pages. You can adjust section visibility, rearrange their order, and customize section headers through your campaign settings.
Accessing campaign settings
- Open your campaign's Images & Display settings.
- Scroll to the Page Layout section to find options for toggling section visibility, reordering sections, and editing section headers.
Managing section visibility
Administrators can control which sections appear on the public campaign page:
- Toggle visibility: Click the eye icon next to each section to show (visible) or hide (crossed-out) it.
- Display order: Drag and drop sections to set the order that appears on the live campaign page.
- Section headers: Customize default header names, such as "Donors" for the recent donor section, as needed.
The donors section
- Recent donor names: The section labeled "Donors" displays recent donor names.
- Anonymous giving: Donors who opt for anonymity will not have their names shown.
-
Header customization: You may change the section header through campaign settings if desired.
Affiliations display in the Donors section
Affiliations appear within the Donors section and follow the same visibility settings.
- Visibility: Affiliations are toggled along with the Donors section.
- Data availability: Affiliations display only when donor affiliation data is present and the school setting is enabled.
Impact on the public page
Changes in the campaign settings update the public view immediately:
- Toggling off a section hides it from public view.
- Reordering sections adjusts the layout to highlight key information.
- Edited headers appear on the live campaign page.
Additional considerations
- Customization flexibility: Experiment with section order to match your campaign’s priorities and branding.
- Privacy compliance: The system always respects donor privacy, ensuring only non-anonymous donor names are displayed.
-
Real-time updates: Review your public campaign page after making changes to confirm the layout and content.
Extending campaigns: what to expect with matches and challenges
Extending a campaign does not update the end dates for matches and challenges. These features have fixed end dates that remain unchanged even when you extend the campaign.
How to extend a campaign
- Move the completed campaign back to draft, update its end time, and relaunch. You can extend a campaign at any time using this process.
- Update any match and challenge end times to match the new campaign end date. If left unchanged, matches and challenges will cease at their original end times.
- Confirm that the campaign has been relaunched.
- Verify on the live campaign page that the extension is displayed correctly.
Announcing an extension versus implementing it
- You can announce the extension separately from making the technical update. For example, apply a 12‑hour extension overnight and announce it the following morning.
Quick example
- For a 12‑hour extension with a delayed announcement, move the campaign back to draft, set the new end time, and relaunch immediately. Then update any match or challenge end times and publish your announcement on your preferred schedule.
-
Section availability: Some sections require content (for example, the incentives section appears only when incentives are set up).
Troubleshooting: find and unhide a renamed Updates section
If you're logged in as an admin but cannot locate the Updates section, it might be hidden or renamed.
- Go to Campaign Setup > Images & Display.
- In the Page Layout area, review each section name since a hidden Updates section may have been renamed (for example, to "Pictures"). The section still functions as before, regardless of its name.
- Look for hidden sections marked with a crossed-out eye icon.
- Click the eye icon to unhide the section.
Note: Renaming alters only the header text displayed to donors without affecting the section’s core functionality.
Summary
From the Images & Display settings under Page Layout, you can toggle sections on or off, rearrange them, and customize headers. The default "Donors" section will show donor names, except for those marked as anonymous. These settings help you create a campaign page that best reflects your fundraising focus.
