Campaign Page Section Visibility and Management

GiveCampus offers flexible controls to customize which sections appear on your campaign pages. You can adjust section visibility, rearrange their order, and customize section headers through your campaign settings.

Accessing campaign settings

1. Open your campaign's Images & Display settings.
2. Scroll to the Page Layout section to find options for toggling section visibility, reordering sections, and editing section headers.

Managing section visibility

Administrators can control which sections appear on the public campaign page:

• Display order: Drag and drop sections to set the order that appears on the live campaign page.
• Section headers: Customize default header names, such as "Donors" for the recent donor section, as needed.

The donors section

• Recent donor names: The section labeled "Donors" displays recent donor names.
• Anonymous giving: Donors who opt for anonymity will not have their names shown.
• Header customization: You may change the section header through campaign settings if desired.

  Affiliations display in the Donors section

  Affiliations appear in the Donors section only if both donor affiliation data is present and the school-level affiliation display setting is enabled. Hiding the Donors section hides affiliations, but showing it will display affiliations only when both conditions are met.

Toggle visibility: Click the eye icon next to a section to show or hide it.

Impact on the public page

Changes in the campaign settings update the public view immediately:

• Toggling off a section hides it from public view.
• Reordering sections adjusts the layout to highlight key information.
• Edited headers appear on the live campaign page.

Additional considerations

• Customization flexibility: Experiment with section order to match your campaign’s priorities and branding.
• Privacy compliance: The system always respects donor privacy, ensuring only non-anonymous donor names are displayed.
• Real-time updates: Review your public campaign page after making changes to confirm the layout and content.

• Section availability: Some sections require content (for example, the incentives section appears only when incentives are set up).

  Why can’t I find the Updates section or another section on my campaign page?

  The most common reason a section is missing from the campaign page is that it is hidden. If you cannot find a section by its default name, it may have been renamed.

  1. Open Campaign Settings → Campaign Setup → Images & Display.
  2. Scroll to Page Layout and review the sections.
  3. Check the eye icon beside the section. A crossed-out eye means it is hidden. Click the icon to show the section, then refresh the campaign page to check it.
  4. If you cannot find Updates, check for renamed sections. Renaming a section changes its displayed heading, not what the section does.

  To identify renamed sections: Note which sections are currently visible. Temporarily hide all sections except one using the eye icons, then refresh the campaign page to identify the remaining section by its content or controls. Repeat with one section visible at a time until you find Updates or the section you need. When finished, restore the other sections to their previous visibility settings and leave the intended section visible.

  Visibility changes affect the live campaign page, so restore the intended layout promptly after checking.

  If the Updates section itself is missing, start with these Page Layout checks. Video-upload or processing troubleshooting applies when you can find the section but a video within an update is not displaying.

  Summary

  From the Images & Display settings under Page Layout, you can toggle sections on or off, rearrange them, and customize headers. The default "Donors" section will show donor names, except for those marked as anonymous. These settings help you create a campaign page that best reflects your fundraising focus.

Can I temporarily hide a leaderboard without losing gift tracking?

Yes. Leaderboards can be unpublished and republished at any time, including after the campaign ends. Gifts continue to count toward the leaderboard’s configured rules while it is unpublished. Republish it to show the updated standings, including qualifying gifts from the unpublished period.

Admins cannot view unpublished leaderboard standings in the backend. The leaderboard is viewable only on the public page when published. Its settings remain manageable in the backend. Unpublishing a leaderboard and hiding the whole Donors section are separate controls; the relevant page section must also be visible for the published leaderboard to appear.
