Can I restart a recurring gift that has ended or expired?

If a recurring gift has failed, the donor can restart the gift by updating their payment details. This will automatically restart the gift. To send the donor a link to update their payment method go to the Online Giving tab then:

Manage Donations > Recurring Subscriptions

Use the 'Change Payment Method' dropdown to update the donor’s payment details.

Access the 'Edit Recurring Gift' form on the same page for additional modifications, or click the 'Update End Date' button to adjust the gift’s end date.

A canceled recurring gift or a completed recurring gift cannot be restarted, the donor will need to make a new gift on the platform.
