If a recurring gift has failed, the donor can restart the gift by updating their payment details. This will automatically restart the gift. To send the donor a link to update their payment method go to the Online Giving tab then: Manage Gifts> Recurring Subscriptions and search for the donor. Then you can use the 'Send donor link to modify' to send a link. If you already have updated payment details for the donor you can click the donation ID on the left, and use the 'Edit Payment Details' option to update the payment information. For non indefinite recurring gifts, you may need to update the end date of the gift if it stayed in a failed state for a while. You can update this from the same recurring gift management page in which you edited payment details, just click the 'Edit Recurring Gift Details' button.
A canceled recurring gift or a completed recurring gift cannot be restarted, the donor will need to make a new gift on the platform.
