GiveCampus offers three pre-built smart segments that utilize our GC Intelligence models to run predictions on your data and for your constituent base to help you ask the right thing of the right people. These can all be found in GC Outreach > Segments > Smart Segments tab.

There are three new smart segments that you can utilize:

1. Highly Likely to Make a Recurring Gift
2. Highly Likely to Advocate
3. Highly Likely to make a Leadership Gift

Before Smart Segments become available, GiveCampus will verify that your uploaded data meets all of the following requirements:

• At least 5 years of giving history, with a gift recorded in the last 6 months
• Inclusion of all required fields in your constituent data import
• Inclusion of all required fields in your gift upload data import
• At least 1,000 imported gifts, or gifts for at least 10% of your constituent base

If any requirement is not met, GiveCampus will indicate which requirements are incomplete when you visit the Smart Segments tab.

 

The other pre-requisite to setting up smart segments in GC Outreach is to ensure you are utilizing and uploading data through the School Level Data Importer. Check out this article to set up the right data in the importer to drive predictions using GC Intelligence on your constituent base and their giving history.

All segments require you to generate and set up a model in our GC Intelligence layer and only the last one will ask you additional configuration questions on what your leadership level giving is set at to ensure we have accurate predictions.

It may take anywhere from 15 min - 1 hour to generate an AI model specific to your constituent base and data. If it is taking a longer time than that, feel free to reach out to support@givecampus.com for help.

 

Utilizing your smart segments is easiest when paired with GC Outreach. Take your segment of constituents that are highly likely to take an action and choose to "Create Outreach" for those in the list. Doing so will generate a draft email, pre-fill your recipient list for that email, pull out any unsubscribes, and let you filter down the segment more.

You can also choose to filter the segment ahead of time in the segment view which will only pre-fill the recipients in the outreach you have filtered it down to but will not affect the segment overall so you can come back to it and refresh to see the full list again later.

 

How is the "Likelihood Score" determined? -> The likelihood score is how much more likely our AI models think the individual constituent is to take the action than the average constituent in YOUR constituent base. If someone is 4x for a likelihood score it means that they are 4 times more likely to "take that action" (recurring giving, etc) than your average constituent based on the data you have given us in the school level data importer.
