Cohort-based reporting provides a brand new way for administrators and volunteers to see aggregate giving statistics in GiveCampus Volunteer Management. Previously, volunteer-facing reporting was available exclusively for a volunteer’s own assignments and class year. Cohort-based reporting expands this functionality, so that reporting can be made visible for any given cohort.
In addition to assignment and class year-based reporting, you can now have reports that are based on attributes such as affiliation and donor status.
Cohort-based reporting for volunteers in the My Assignments tab
Volunteers will be able to see the new cohort-based reporting from their My Assignments tab, as shown in the image above. Cohort-based reporting can be added to this tab from the Roles page, where administrators can customize which reports are visible to each role.
Administrators can now display three distinct reporting sections on the My Assignments tab. In addition to the standard My Assignments and Class Stats sections, a third section is fully customizable. For example, you might label it “Parent Giving Statistics” or “Regional Reporting.” This section is enabled via the permission that activates class year statistics.

Reporting settings under Roles tab
To customize reporting permissions, administrators can go to Roles > “What reporting this role can see,” and select options to show class year and cohort stats. Selecting “Show Cohort Stats” will open a dropdown menu from which admins can select specific cohort reports to display to their volunteers in a specific role.
Administrators, on the other hand, will be able to view cohort-based reporting by clicking into a specific cohort from the “Cohorts” tab, as shown in the image below.
