Combine the gamification of Online Giving Campaigns with the power of Volunteer Management! For schools using both the GC Volunteer Management System (VMS) and the Online Giving, the Role Campaign Selection feature makes it easier than ever to connect your volunteers directly to your live fundraising campaigns—and to help them track and amplify their impact.
What Does the Role Campaign Selection Feature Do?
The Role Campaign Selection feature allows select Online Giving Campaigns to appear directly inside your VMS dashboard, making it easy for volunteers to:
-
Share their assigned campaign links.
-
Track campaign progress in real time.
-
See their personal advocacy impact within the VMS environment.
This brings the excitement and transparency of your fundraising campaigns directly into your volunteers’ day-to-day view.

How to Enable This Feature
-
From your VMS Admin Dashboard, click Manage Volunteers > Roles.
-
You’ll see a new menu item called Fundraising Campaign Settings.
-
From there, select which campaign(s) you’d like to make visible to volunteers.
Once enabled, volunteers assigned to a role linked with a campaign will see that campaign on their My Assignments page.

What Happens After Enabling the Feature
After enabling, admins can:
-
Choose which campaigns and/or landing pages appear for volunteers, depending on their role.
-
Assign dedicated email templates for each campaign. These templates will automatically populate when volunteers click Email My Assignments within their dashboard.
This ensures your volunteers always have the right campaign messaging and tools ready to go.
Featuring Tier 2 and Tier 3 Landing Pages
Published Tier 2 and Tier 3 Landing Pages on live campaigns can also be featured! For example, if your Giving Day includes an Athletics Tier 2 page, you can show Athletics volunteers data from that section of your campaign for a tailored experience. Note that all published landing pages across all live campaigns will show under "Tier 2 Campaigns" on the selection dropdown
Important Details
-
Admins can choose from any live campaign to display to volunteers.
-
Campaigns are set role-by-role, so different volunteer groups can be linked to different campaigns.
-
You can assign multiple campaigns to a single role—volunteers can toggle between them, and they’ll appear in the order listed on the Role Campaign Selection page.
-
Each campaign can have a Default Email Template:
-
The selected template appears automatically when a volunteer clicks Email My Assignments for that campaign.
-
If no default template is set, volunteers will be directed to the general Email page in VMS.
-
If a template is archived or deactivated, it will no longer be the default.
-
-
Schools must have both VMS and Online Giving enabled to use this feature.
