Oops! My bad! What to do when you've made a mistake when managing offline gifts, adjustments, and offline matches or challenges.
Don't panic!
Whether the mistake was big or small, we'll get you sorted. You're almost certainly not the first person to do it! If you don't see your mistake below, just write to us at support@givecampus.com with the following information:
- The campaign you're managing
- What happened / was supposed to happen
- What the end goal looks like (How do we know the problem is solved?)
I added too much in our campaign adjustment
Not a problem. Just add a negative number in the adjustment field this time.
I added offline gifts that accidentally counted for my matches or challenges
Not a problem. You may be able to edit an offline match or challenge to adjust its progress or write to support@givecampus.com to adjust an online match or challenge.
If the offline gifts completed the match or challenge prematurely, you may opt to create a new offline match or challenge to replicate the remainder of the original match. Just remember to adjust the progress of the replacement match and adjust down the campaign total to not "double count" the match. When in doubt write to us at support@givecampus.com.
I added offline gifts that should have counted for an active match or challenge but didn't
Not a problem. While you can edit offline gifts, they won't fix the match or challenge issue. You're best off to delete that offline gift and re-add or re-upload it with the correct gift/donor information that will fit the criteria of the match or challenge.
I forgot to add some offline donors, and now the campaign has ended
Not a problem. Go ahead and add them now. The totals should still update.
I created an offline match or challenge, but now I can't find it or edit it
Not a problem. It's in your Manage Gifts tab with a gift state of phantom. Offline matches and challenges are special offline gift types that need the more complex transaction editing screen of Manage Gifts. Learn more about editing offline matches and challenges.
