Learn all about adding individual offline donors and doing it in bulk!
The Offline Gifts feature of Social Fundraising campaigns allows you to add offline gift data to your campaigns so that gifts received outside of the GiveCampus are reflected in your campaign totals, leaderboards, donor maps, and clickable affiliation breakdowns.

Add Individual Offline Donors
The Add Individual Offline Donor feature captures the donor name, dollar amount, affiliation(s), class year, designation, and geographic data. Entering the data in this section will automatically adjust your campaign totals, leaderboards, and donor maps. In the following example, the donor is a parent of three children in three various class years and an alum of the school and making a gift through an advisory fund: the gift will show in all applicable leaderboards but only count as one donor in the totals.
Warning: Offline donors will count toward progress on active matches and challenges if they meet the same criteria.
Add Bulk Offline Donors
You can upload a CSV file to add multiple offline donors at once, instead of adding them one by one. Follow the instructions in the "Upload Offline Donor Data in Bulk" section. After uploading, click "See All Offline Donors" to edit or remove individual entries. Note that header columns have been updated—use the new columns provided. You can include up to 15 affiliations and affiliation values.

Once offline donors are added, they're listed at the bottom of the page.
To download a full list of previously added offline donors, click Download Offline Gifts Report.
To edit offline gifts, click the Edit button and make the appropriate adjustments. It may take a few minutes for the updates to show on this and the campaign page. Note: Edited offline gifts will not automatically update their impact on active matches and challenges. You may wish to delete and add new offline gifts if you want to ensure proper match and challenge counting.
To remove an offline gift, click the Delete button in the far right column. It may take a few minutes for the updates to show on the campaign page.
FAQs
Are we charged for adding offline gifts? Do they count against our subscription?
No.
Will offline gifts and adjustments count against active matches and challenges?
Generally, yes. If the adjustment or offline gifts meet the criteria of a match or challenge, GiveCampus assumes those gifts came in while the match or challenge was active and should count.
What if I don't want these gifts to count against a match or challenge? What should I do?
The first option would be to add offline gifts BEFORE creating matches or challenges. If that's not possible, or you've already added the offline gifts, you may be able to adjust down the progress of an offline match or challenge or write to support@givecampus.com to adjust an online match or challenge.
Are donors emailed when added as offline donors?
No.
Does GiveCampus deduplicate donors who make online and offline gifts?
Yes, as long as the donor name and email address match, we will deduplicate the donor count. This is true for all online and offline gifts. The dollar value of both gifts will still count.
How do I make offline donors anonymous?
Simply list the donor name as "Anonymous." To ensure a proper donor count and avoid accidental deduplication, ensure you have different email addresses for each "Anonymous" offline donor. Email addresses do not need to be real for this purpose (e.g. donor1@example.com).
Can advocates be credited for offline gifts?
No. Advocates can only be credited with online gifts.
