A simple and secure payment option that reduces friction and increases conversion.
Partners leveraging GiveCampus’s integration with Stripe for payment processing are able to accept gifts via WebPay.
What is WebPay?
WebPay is a GiveCampus feature that enables donors to give without taking out their credit or debit card, and without filling out a payment form. Instead, they can simply select and give with any payment method that is saved in their web browser. For example, if a donor has stored their credit card details in Chrome, WebPay allows them to "checkout" without having to manually enter that information. Like Apple Pay, Google Pay, the "Bank Transfer" giving option, and "1-click giving" for donors who store payment information on their GiveCampus account, WebPay dramatically reduces friction for donors--and meaningfully increases conversion for you.
(Note: Donors who are not using a supported web browser or who have not stored a payment method in their browser will not see the option to give with WebPay.)
Will WebPay impact payment processing or reporting?
WebPay transactions are processed just like they would be if the donor had manually entered their payment information on the payment form. The only difference is that these transactions will appear in your reporting with the cc_type field set to "WebPay”. (For more details on reporting and Stripe payment states, see this GiveCampus University article.)
We don't use Stripe but would like to so that we can take advantage of WebPay. What should we do?
Switching from your existing payment processor to our native integration with Stripe takes less than five minutes, costs $0, and provides you with benefits ranging from streamlined reporting to higher donor conversion and happier donors. If you'd like to learn more or are ready to make the switch, just send a quick note to support@givecampus.com.
