This guide explains how to use GiveCampus's pre-built Veracross report templates to import donations into Veracross using its Donation Import Batch tool.
Step 1: Set Up in Veracross
Before exporting data from GiveCampus, set up Veracross to recognize these gifts:

Create a Gift Payment Category in Veracross named “GiveCampus.”
This label will help identify gifts coming from GiveCampus forms during import.
Step 2: Set Up in GiveCampus
GiveCampus provides pre-formatted custom report templates specifically designed to work with Veracross.
- Go to:
Online Giving > Reporting > Custom Reports > GC-Created Templates
- Look for these two templates:

- Make a copy of the template. It will then appear in your Custom Reports and is ready to use for donation or deposit-based exports. For more information about using custom report templates, click here.
Choosing the Right Template

Key differences:

Field Mapping: GiveCampus → Veracross
The templates include "aliases"—custom column names that match Veracross's required field names. This makes the import process easier.
The Gift Row report template contains the following fields with their corresponding Veracross aliases:

We include several blank columns to make the import process smoother in Veracross. These are fields in the Veracross import template that GiveCampus currently does not capture and will be blank in the report:

Customizing the Report
You can:
- Rename your custom report
- Add or remove fields
- Swap fields like date_of_capture for date_of_deposit, if preferred
Downloading and Importing the Report
- Download your report from Online Giving > Reporting > Donations or from Online Giving > Reporting > Deposit-Based Reports
- Filter by date/time or select a specific deposit to download
- Follow Veracross’s standard instructions to complete the Donation Import Batch
