Enable leading zeros to appear in reports

GiveCampus reports download at .CSV files, which include leading zeros for columns such as 'constituent_identifier'. However, some software, like Excel, remove leading zeros, which can create hassle for gift entry

How to Ensure Leading Zeros Appear in Reports

Download a report from GiveCampus

Open it in Excel and find the offending column

Follow these instructions to change the formatting of the column:

• Highlight the column
• Click Home
• Click the dropdown under Number
• Select Custom

• Select Custom again and enter 00000 in the bar where it says "type"
• Click OK
