Up-to-date, precise net worth values are central to GC Wealth. Unlike legacy data aggregators that return wealth ranges at the neighborhood level, GC Wealth incorporates deterministic inputs and proprietary algorithms to deliver a precise net worth figure at the household level.
With GC Wealth, you can screen as much data as often as you’d like. Successfully uploading files is an important part of a smooth screening process.
General Best Practices for File Prep:
- The “ID” is a constituent’s unique constituent ID within your database.
- We recommend sending as many fields as possible for the best match rate and to utilize the full functionality of GC Wealth.
- If providing multiple gifts per constituent we ask for each gift as a separate line. This will provide the best analysis and match rate alongside their constituents' information. For example: first gift, last gift, and greatest gift.
- PO boxes reduce probability of match; wherever possible, include street address.
- GC Wealth screening only supports US-addresses and non-US addresses will result in the row being ignored and not matched.
- Our goal is zero false positives, if a match doesn’t have our highest confidence score, we won’t return results.
There are currently two ways to upload data into GC Wealth:
- Option 1: *Recommended* Upload via School Level Data Importer
- Easily set up custom mapping into GiveCampus – little to no file manipulation needed and no need to exactly match our column headers.
- Automate the send of data via SFTP
- Feed data for GC Wealth, Smart Appeals, Constituent ID Matching, Donor Status Calculations, and more via one data source (no need for multiple, different importers)

- Option 2: GC Wealth CSV Upload
- Upload CSV files via the GC Wealth Dashboard
- Column headers must match exactly to what is provided in the GC Wealth Screening dashboard and are case sensitive. All required fields must be sent and you can choose any of the “Recommended” or "Optional" fields.
- All files should be in .CSV file format with UTF-8 file encoding. .XLS or .XLSX files are not supported.
- When uploading data, there are several required fields. These include ID, FIRST_NAME, LAST_NAME, ADDRESS, ZIP, and EMAIL. These required fields are also noted on the upload page.
- We recommend sending as many fields as possible for the best match rate and to utilize the full functionality of GC Wealth.
- "PRIMARY_YEAR", "SECONDARY_YEAR", AND "TERTIARY_YEAR" are intended for constituents who have more than one class year with your school (e.g. two alumni years or an alumni year and a parent year). Include one year per column if you'd like to send more than one year for a constituent.
- Columns should be double quoted to ensure fields with commas do not create malformed rows.
