Based on the information you want to download, there are several different ways to generate a donation report:
- If you want a report of all donations to a specific campaign: Go to the Campaigns tab in the Online Giving section of GiveCampus and click on the "Reports" button in the table for the appropriate campaign. From here you can download the All Gifts report which includes both online and offline gifts, or just the online gift report.
-
If you want a report of all donations for a specific date range: Go to the Reporting tab on your Administrator Dashboard, select your desired date range, and click the "Download Donation Report" button.
- You can also now download reports for a specific time range by choosing not only the dates, but the times of day, you want to filter for.
- You can create custom templates for these reports to pull in specific fields and information. Creating and Managing Custom Reports
- If you want to download recurring gift reports: Go to the Reporting tab on your Administrator Dashboard, click on the Recurring Donations section on the left-hand side bar, select your desired date and time range for either the Installment Report or the Subscription Report, and click the "Download Donation Report" button. For more information on recurring gift reports, check out our Recurring Gifts 101 resource!

-
If you want to download a report of online and offline matches/challenges: Go to Online Giving > Reporting > Advocacy > Scroll down to Matches and Challenges and download the CSV. Once you receive the report, you can filter by campaign and whether the match/challenge was added online or offline.
Matches & Challenges reports from a campaign
-
If your school has the emailed project donation reports feature enabled, requesting an individual match or challenge report from a campaign’s Matches & Challenges section will email the report rather than starting an immediate CSV download.
-
After you request the report, you are redirected back to the match/challenge management page and a flash message appears: "Sending report to {email}. If you do not receive an email within 10 minutes, please try again."
-
This behavior applies only to individual match/challenge reports accessed via a campaign’s Matches & Challenges section. Schools without the emailed reports feature will continue to receive immediate CSV downloads.
-
large reports are emailed when they exceed the record threshold
When a donation report includes more than 35 records (donations, charges, or refunds), GiveCampus automatically sends the completed report to the email address on your account. No additional settings or actions are needed.
A confirmation message appears in the app: "Sending report to {email}. If you do not receive an email within 10 minutes, please try again."
This behavior applies to school-level donation reports from the Reporting tab on your Administrator Dashboard and some campaign-specific reports. Note that All Gifts reports from campaign pages are always emailed, regardless of size.
For most reports, which contain fewer than 35 records, the download will complete directly in your browser.
