How do I manage "No Name" records in GC Volunteer Management?

You may have constituents that were imported into GC Volunteer Management (VM) without names. These records were either imported from your main Constituent File without name data available or  

“No Name” records contribute towards your constituent record count in your VM subscription, so we recommend resolving them at your earliest convenience by either adding the name data or removing the constituents from your VM. 

To reconcile “No Name” records, please follow the steps listed under Data Management > No Name Records in your VM. 

The CSV available for download will include the following information:

• Constituent ID: The ID number of the constituent
• Associated Objects: The type of data objects, beyond biographical information from the "Constituent File," that are associated with this record. This column can help you determine which additional files the constituent has been included in. For example, "Detailed Gifts" means that your Constituent has detailed gift objects sent via the Gift File. To ensure the constituent does not get imported again, you should update your Gift File export to exclude the constituent.  
• Import Run URL: A link to the import that created the constituent record within VM.
• Imported Through File: The name of the file through which the constituent record was imported into VM.

Please note: "Import Run URL" and "Imported Through File" data may not be available for historical data and will display as "N/A" within your downloaded CSV.

Constituent records may be created when the Constituent ID is included in an additional file (for example, a gift, gift summary, degree, activity, or relatives file) but is missing from the main Constituent File. Please note: Accessing the Data Management page and downloading the CSV of "No Name" Records require **super admin** permissions.
