For schools who use both our GiveCampus Volunteer Management and GC Video solutions, volunteers can send videos to their assignments directly within the email functionality.
Getting Started
Step 1: Setting the Branding
Starting in GC VM, the first step is to set the branding template for your volunteer video pages by going to Resources for Volunteers > Video > Branding. Here you can upload a logo, background image, and default video thumbnail. These components will automatically populate on all video pages created by your volunteers.

If you do not upload certain branding assets, the following experience will occur:
- If you do not upload a logo, your school logo will be used.
- If you do not upload a background image, the background will be gray.
- If you do not upload a default video thumbnail, we will automatically pull a screen grab from the volunteer's uploaded video.
Once you save the video template by clicking the "Save Branding Template", these branding items will automatically be applied to all new video pages. Existing video pages in Spotlight will remain with the branding that was set when they were created.
Step 2: Setting Relevant Campaigns for Call to Action
Call to Action options are only relevant for schools who also have the Social Fundraising Platform or Giving Forms by GiveCampus solutions.
Volunteers will have the option to add a "Give Now" or "Learn More" Call to Action button to their video landing pages. When recipients use these buttons to make a gift, the volunteer will get Advocacy credit for any clicks, donors, or dollars they generate via their video pages.
To ensure that volunteers are only allowed to send relevant campaigns in their video page outreach, you must set which campaigns each volunteer role can select when creating a Call to Action button. Head to the Manage Volunteers > Roles > Video Call to Action Buttons page to set this for each volunteer role.

Step 3: Enabling the Sending of Videos for Volunteers
Once you've setup the video page branding and selected any relevant campaigns/giving forms for Call to Action buttons, you can decide which volunteers by role type that will be able to send video pages. Head to the Manage Volunteers > Roles > select a volunteer role > head into role settings. Scroll down to the "What can this role do" section, and you'll see a new option "Send Videos to Assignments". Check the box and save the role, and any volunteer with this role will be able to start creating and sending video pages.
Repeat this step for all roles you want to be able to send video pages!

Managing Video Pages Created by Volunteers
From the Resources for Volunteers > Video > Volunteer Videos page, you'll see a list of all volunteer-created video pages. You can preview any video page by clicking on the video page name under the "Preview Link" column.
To narrow the list of video pages, you can filter by any volunteer who has created a video page or use the search bar to search by video name.
If you'd like to remove the video page from view, use the "Archive" button beside the video page information. Once archived, the video page will be taken down and the video page will be removed from the volunteer's experience. However, as an administrator you will still see the video page within your "Videos" page and will be able to restore the video page at any time.
