Creating Multi-Class Year Matches
Setting Up Matches for Multiple Alumni Classes
To create a match that applies to multiple class years (such as all graduates from a decade):
Step 1: Create the basic match1. Go to Campaign Settings > Motivation & Sharing > Matches & Challenges
2. Click "Add Match"
3. Set your match amount and basic details
4. For the class year targeting, initially select just one year from your desired range
Step 2: Edit to include multiple years1. Save the match with the single class year
2. Click the edit/pencil icon for your newly created match
3. In the class year field, you can now manually add multiple years separated by commas
4. Example: "2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025"
5. Save your changes
Note: While the initial creation interface only allows single class year selection, the edit function supports multiple years. This workaround lets you target broad alumni groups like "graduates from the last decade."Common variations of this question
- Match for multiple class years
- Decade match setup
- Multiple alumni year matching
- Class year range for matches
- Young alumni match multiple years
Setting Up Multi-Designation Matches
Creating Matches for Multiple Related Designations
To create a match that applies to multiple designations (like both men's and women's basketball), you need to use designation groups:
2. Create a new designation group (e.g., "Basketball")
3. Add both designations to the group:
- Men's Basketball
- Women's Basketball
Step 2: Set Up the Offline Match1. Navigate to Campaign Settings > Motivation & Sharing > Matches & Challenges
2. Click "Add Match"
3. In the "Directed to" field, select your newly created designation group
4. Configure the match amount and criteria
Important Limitations:- You cannot create matches for multiple individual designations that aren't grouped
- The designations must be part of a single designation group
- Individual designations cannot be combined in a match without grouping them first
