You can use the Updates feature to communicate with your donors and advocates directly from the GiveCampus platform.
Many GiveCampus partners leverage this feature to conduct "real-time stewardship," providing progress updates and making announcements that help sustain engagement throughout a campaign. You can also use Updates to announce new competitions, Incentives, or prizes, and to thank supporters for their continued generosity as the campaign progresses toward its goal (and beyond!).
Updates can be delivered to donors and advocates via email and/or posted on the campaign page (below the About section). Updates may contain graphics, images, and even videos.
Here are a few more examples of creative and effective uses of the Updates feature:
- Lebanon Valley Giving Day (progress updates + campus photos)
- Bryn Mawr School (videos, progress updates, post campaign stats)
- Embry-Riddle Giving Tuesday (progress updates with gifs!)
How to create an Update: To create an Update, go to the front facing page of your campaign page, scroll down to the Updates section, and click 'Add an Update' (only admins can see this button). Add your Title and Content to the Update. By default, all Updates are set to be delivered by email to donors and advocates and to be displayed on the campaign page. If you wish to disable one of these options, un-check the appropriate box before clicking "Submit Update." If you choose to send an Update via email, the Title of your Update will appear in the Subject Line of the email that is sent to your donors and advocates.
Please note: If you send the Update as an email to all donors and advocates, you will not be able to delete the Update from your campaign page.

To add video content to your Update, follow the instructions on the page to upload a video file and insert it into the Update. *Please allow a minute or two for the video to fully render before inserting it into the Update. You may need to refresh the page to ensure the video finishes loading.

Scheduling Updates: All Updates will post right away to your campaign page and via email unless otherwise specified. If you would like to schedule your Update to post/send at a certain time, you will see a 'Scheduling your Update' option at the very bottom of your New Campaign Update.
