Rivalry Campaigns: Turn the Clash into Cash

Consider teaming up and tapping into that competitive loyalty with a rivalry campaign!

Check out the 2019 Andover vs. Exeter challenge where Exeter took home the win with the most donors and Andover successfully reacquired 317 SYBUNT donors and acquired 417 new donors! 

The Laker-Crusader Challenge, an athletic rivalry, set a goal of 349 donors, per school - the number of combined years the schools have been educating young men. Both schools surpassed the 349 donor goal with the Boys' Latin School of Maryland winning by 23 donors!

📋 Pro Tips:

• Tap into nostalgia with photos, stories, and notable alumni. 
• Tie to a joint event like Homecoming.
• Consider accepting online gifts only - limiting the rivalry challenge to outright and new recurring gifts allows for transparency in gift calculations on both sides. 
• Set a minimum gift threshold to try and negate individuals making multiple $1 gifts to inflate the totals. 
• Coordinate the marketing plan and lean on one another to spread out the division of duties. Think joint landing page video, marketing calendar, and more!
