Where do constituent ID’s for advocates come from?

Constituent ID’s come from the schools CRM. The constituent ID is not generated from GiveCampus. When uploading Advocates, you are able to leave the Constituent ID column blank if the advocate does not yet have a constituent ID.

When adding advocates via CSV, first name, last name, and email address are required; the Constituent ID is optional. If a row lacks an email address, GiveCampus will try to match an existing advocate by constituent ID. If no match is found, the row will not be processed. A constituent ID by itself cannot create a new advocate.

You can also add advocates individually using the Add Single Advocate form. In this form, first name, last name, and email address are required, while the Constituent ID remains optional.
