Refund eligibility depends on the payment

A gift’s “Pending Authorization” label does not by itself establish whether it can be refunded. Eligibility also depends on the payment processor, checkout history and applicable refund window. Open the gift details and review the available actions.

Bank gifts awaiting micro-deposit verification

A bank gift awaiting micro-deposit verification cannot be refunded through GiveCampus while verification is incomplete. If verification is not completed, the attempt expires without being charged. If the donor verifies and the payment processes, check the gift’s refund eligibility at that point.

If the donor made a mistake

Locate the gift and check its payment and verification status before promising a refund or asking the donor to wait. If a refund action is unavailable or the payment’s state is unclear, contact GiveCampus Support with the donation ID. A pending label alone does not mean that every edit or refund is prohibited, nor does it guarantee that a refund can be issued before processing.
